Kere in Kannada means lake in English. Ayyanakere is a lake near Sakharayapatna village and it is located at a distance of 18km from Chikmagaluru district of Karnataka, India.
The lake is known for its beautiful green landscape with Shakunagiri Hill in the background.
It's a nice calm place to visit with friends and family.
A beautiful spot to go for picnic.
There's is no stores near by, so carry basic needs like water some snacks with you.
A place for photoshoot so don't forget to carry your DSLR

The crowd is very minimal. Road to the lake is pretty ok you can go on your four wheels or two wheels.
Town canteen in Chikmagaluru city is famous for Dosa, you can have your evening snacks over there.
